Back to work?

Well, the economic downturn, among other things, has hit our family. There is a good possibility that today is Stephen's last day at work. We've talked about a lot of options and have to make a decision. Our options include the possibility of me going back to work, while he collects unemployment and figures out the next step for him. It just makes sense for me to go to work if the union doesn't get him a job in the meantime. Over and above that, I am still working Debt Freedom on a part-time basis. So what does this mean for our kids? Well, if Stephen is on EI, and not in a training program then he will be home with the kids and I will work. *gulp* Maybe this is a two-fold lesson. He will see what it is like to be at home with the kids by himself on a regular day, and I will get a refresher on what it is like to work full time for a boss. *SUPER GULP* What I am wondering is how the kids will react to this. Many times when I have gone out for part of a day and when I get home, the kids are bent right out of shape and sometimes, it's like I never left. I guess all I can do is take the plunge and see what happens.

Cori,

I can see what a struggle this must be, but be rest assured that the kids will be perfectly fine with their Dad while you are at work. I pray that you will find a job that you love. It is very difficult in these economic times.

Our son was laid off this summer, 1week before they took possession of their new house and they are also expecting their first baby in December. Very stressful times...but we can take comfort knowing that our Heavenly Father will provide all things.

Take care you are in my prayers,
Love, Lynda
